This past November (2009) as a birthday present to myself I got in touch with my friend Jason in England and told him to make some room for an American for a week. Jase and I had been talking about my getting ‘cross the old pond for a couple of years, but finally we were able to arrange it.
Jase and I met through a photography portfolio site, and while he’s a silly Englishman and I’m a damn Septic, we got on greatly. After much hassle and hasty plan changes I made it out to Newquay in Corwall and spent about four lovely (rain filled) days with the old boy and his housemates. I love the friends I made that week – all fantastic people who were bent on showing me a great time, weather and travelling hell and all.I must admit I already miss the all of them greatly, and can’t wait until I can get back over again or convince them to come to the States for a visit. Whatever happens, I’m sure it’ll be another great time!Watch for the next post to show off some of the proper photography I attempted while there, but I wanted to share some of the fun and good nature that was abundant during my time in the Mother Country.
